Web site
for the Physical Plant department
Reference:
Visit the public site at http://www.csuohio.edu/phy_plant/home.htm.
The Physical Plant Department at Cleveland State University engaged
us to help them update a web presence based on feedback from an
internal Univerity audit. The web site needed to meet several requirements
as specified both by the Physical Plant staff and the University
web guidelines:
- Complying with government accessibility standards (Section
508)
- Improving customer service to the University community by making
commonly-used forms and other information available on the site
- Making critical information (emergency phone numbers, etc.)
readily available to the University community
- Reinforcing the Department's positive image on campus via a
more robust and attractive site
- Meeting interal University audit concerns
Through close collaboration with the Physical Plant staff, we were
able to implement a site that met the needs of both the Physical
Plant Department and the CSU community.
Web site for the Office of the University Architect

The Office of the University Architect (OUA) at Cleveland State
University engaged us to help them create a web presence from scratch.
The web site needed to meet all of the same requirements as the
Physical Plant site, with a couple of additional requirements:
- Several construction-related forms needed to be available to
both the University community and to OUA partners in several formats.
- Due to frequent changes to OUA projects, the site would need
to be easily and quickly updated by OUA staff.
Through close collaboration with the OUA staff, we developed a
site design that both met the demanding aesthetic needs of the Department
and shared up-to-date project information with the University community.
Further, we developed a system that allowed OUA staff members to
quickly and easily create new and updated web pages as needed, allowing
them to share information with the University community as it became
available.
